Individualized Drug and Alcohol Treatments
As the leader in providing drug and alcohol treatments for the gay and lesbian community, we pride ourselves in the individualized treatment we provide. Our unique approach to drug and alcohol treatments allows us to view each person as an individual with their own set of challenges. Over the years of providing treatment, we have found that some people might suffer from sexual abuse or dual diagnosis, while others may still struggle with problems stemming from trying to come to terms with their sexuality. Our vast experience has shown that designing individualized treatment plans for each patient promotes an environment which is inductive to the best results.
Drug and Alcohol Treatments and Detox
Detox, if not provided by trained medical professionals, can turn out to be life threatening. At Freedom Rings, our drug and alcohol treatments include a "state-of-the-art" medical detox. Managed by physicians who are board certified and trained in addiction medicine, our detox program is comfortable, safe and effective. As with the clinical program in our innovative treatment center, we realize every person entering our detox center has a unique set of circumstances; drugs of choice will vary, medical and psychiatric problems will differ and one person may respond differently to detox medications than another. To minimize, and in some cases eliminate, drug and alcohol withdrawal symptoms, a personalized detox protocol is designed for each patient. For those of you who are still concerned, 24-hour nursing is available and support staff is always with you around the clock.
Drug and Alcohol Treatments and Psychiatric Care
Over half of the patients we admit into our drug and alcohol treatments have an accompanying psychiatric disorder. We refer to that as a dual diagnosis. While most of the centers providing drug and alcohol treatments focus only on the drug addiction or alcoholism, we have remained on the cutting edge of being able to integrate those treatment variables with that of an accompanying psychiatric disorder.
The psychiatric care provided within our drug and alcohol treatments is managed by our board-certified psychiatrist, who is also trained in addiction medicine. After consulting with the medical director and your primary therapist, the psychiatrist will develop a psychiatric treatment plan for you that functions concurrently with your drug and alcohol treatments.
For the highest quality gay-friendly drug and alcohol treatments, call the Freedom Rings addiction treatment center toll-free at 1-800-231-1820. All calls are completely confidential and we're here to take your call 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
